Pacific West College of Law was founded in 1993. The College began with approval from the Council for Private Post Secondary Education of the Department of Education of the State of California to grant the Bachelor of Science in Law and Juris Doctor Degrees. After three years of steady growth, and an expanding curriculum, the school received approval to add three Masters Degree programs namely Law Latin Master in Taxation (L.L.M in Tax Degree), Law Latin Master In Environmental Law (L.L.M in Environmental Law Degree) and Master of Arts in Law (M.A.L Degree).
Currently, Pacific West College of Law is a Registered Unaccredited Fixed-Facility Law School by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California.
The College currently shares facilities and other assets with South Coast College.
